Classroom Wish List

Many times, parents, grandparents and friends of our school inquire about donations of items to individual classrooms and the school programs. We appreciate these kindnesses more than you know.  If you would like to make a donation, below is a list of items and subscription needs that would be of great use to your students.

Please do not make any orders or purchases on your own. If you wish to donate, please send a check to the school office with a brief note as to where the donation should be applied. The school will place the order and a donation receipt will be sent your way (be sure to include a mailing address). Thank you for your generosity!

THIRD GRADE would like a set of 4 or 5 Bananagrams ($13/ea), allowing for each table or grouping to work with this tool.Spelling practice needs to be continually practiced and using Bananagrams as a center or morning activity tool allows for a consistent fun practice of the spelling patterns and vocabulary terms we are working with and learning about in third grade. This will be used in a variety of ways depending on our focus and skill set we are working on. 3rd Grade would also like 6 small stools ($6/ea). We work in small groups throughout the day and adding more seating allows students to easily transition to their learning station without dragging their chair around the room. These chairs will primarily be stationed at our round table in the center of our room but will also be used throughout the day as needed during group or partner work and even during a teacher conference.

Fourth Grade would love a subscription to TIME Magazine for kids! TIME for Kids is a a monthly delivery of magazines filled with current events and grade level appropriate informational articles. They provide short passages, use a variety of different text structures, and they are an excellent way for students to practice reading nonfiction. They would be used for reading direct instruction, small group work, as well as choice for independent reading time. A class subscription for the year will cost $103.95 or a half class subscription (to be read in partners) will be $54.45.

Second Grade Thank you so much to the Ferree family for the generous donation to our classroom.  Go Noodle Plus is now making learning even more fun in Grade 2!

Kindergarten would love a subscription to It is an engaging use of technology that improves behavior and attention that ultimately results in better academic performance and strengthened classroom cohesion. Not sure? Ask your children about their favorite activity: traveling through space after recess, Rainbow Breathing or Mr. Cat man. Cost is $10/month.
Kindergarten could also use games such as Jenga- for letter/sight word work and Candyland- for counting & letter/ sight word work. Each of these cost about $10.
